Clippers vs. Timberwolves: The matchup

The Wolves set out to bounce back from a Friday night stumble to the New Orleans Pelicans (119-115), where they squandered an 18-point lead in the second half to a team with a 14-40 record. That loss was Minnesota’s second in three games and came despite big nights from stars Anthony Edwards (35 points) and Julius Randle (24-8-7) and dropped the Wolves to 32-21 on the season and 17-9 on their home floor. Minnesota is currently holding onto the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference.

Los Angeles rebounded from its first back-to-back losses since Dec. 15 and 18 by beating the Sacramento Kings on Friday to start their current four-game road trip before the All-Star Break. Kawhi Leonard led the way for the Clips in that one with 31 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
