The summer window is likely to be a busy one for Chelsea as Todd Boehly and the Clearlake ownership look set to spend big once again, having unloaded almost £300m last summer.
But such was Chelsea’s outlay in the summer, the Blues raked in just as much in player sales. The likes of Noni Madueke joining Arsenal for a fee north of £50m, Christopher Nkunku going to Milan and more.
Chelsea are expected to bolster the goalkeeping department, while interest in Jeremy Jacquet suggests the Blues need a defender. Cover in midfield is also required, and Emmanuel Emegha is joining up top.

Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho have struggled since moving to Chelsea, and it might see the Blues eye a new winger if Geovany Quenda is not deemed ready. This all points towards some player exits.
Rotation option under Rosenior set for summer Chelsea exit
Of Chelsea’s current options, Benoit Badiashile has fallen down the pecking order, and that is even before Levi Colwill is fit again and Mamadou Sarr or Aaron Anselmino are given a chance in the starting side.

Currently, £35m signing Badiashile is likely to be considered fourth choice behind Wesley Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah and Tosin Adarabioyo in the pecking order. Come the summer, Badiashile is likely to be sold.
That is according to Caught Offside, who make the point that with Colwill, Sarr, Anselmino and possible new signings fighting to play, Badiashile is simply going to fall by the wayside while at Stamford Bridge.
Three European clubs eyeing move for Benoit Badiashile
Caught Offside claim AC Milan have shown background interest in raiding Chelsea for another fringe player after Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nkunku, Christian Pulisic and Fikayo Tomori. But there are others, too.
Who would you sell out of Benoit Badiashile and Tosin Adarabioyo? 👋

It is claimed that Juventus would consider a move for Badiashile in the summer if the defender becomes available, while there is also scope for Roberto De Zerbi to lure the ex-Monaco man back to France.
One thing is clear, and it is that Badiashile is going to struggle to play. Rosenior has already decided that Chalobah and Fofana are his best two options right now, and he’s yet to even see Colwill in action.
If Badiashile has sense, if he is understanding enough to know that there will be too much competition for him to get regular game time, then he will jump ship this summer. He needs to be playing at this stage.
