The Denver Nuggets are reportedly looking to add another player to their roster and have been active on the buyout market recently.

According to The Denver Post, the Nuggets have been considering recently waived Lonzo Ball as a potential backcourt addition.

"The Nuggets are confident they'll be able to add Jones and another player to the payroll without going back into the luxury tax, a league source told The Denver Post this week, and they've already been active on the buyout market by looking into recently waived Cavaliers guard Lonzo Ball," Bennett Durando of The Denver Post reports.

According to earlier reports, Lonzo is expected to join the Golden State Warriors if he passes his medicals.

The former No. 2 overall pick appeared in 35 games this season for Cleveland - matching his total from the entire previous season - but his scoring declined.

Ball has averaged 4.6 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 3.9 assists while shooting 30.1 percent from the field and 27.2 percent from three-point range in 20.8 minutes per game.

Ball missed the entire 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons due to a left knee injury. In March 2023, he underwent a meniscus and cartilage transplant after two prior surgeries failed to resolve an injury he sustained during his first season with the Chicago Bulls in 2021-22.

Lonzo Ball was selected second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2017 NBA Draft.
