Jeremy Jacquet is already raising injury concerns for Liverpool.
The future Red is still plying his trade in Ligue 1 for the rest of the season, and he was forced off in his most recent outing against Lens.
The manager claimed Jacquet’s injury was quite serious in his post-match address, and that feeling has only grown since.

If reports from France on Monday are to be believed, the £60 million signing might have to go through some serious rehabilitation.
Surgery for Liverpool signing Jeremy Jacquet can’t be ruled out
Liverpool have had their fair share of problems with centre-backs this season.
Giovanni Leoni and Joe Gomez have been injured for most of the campaign, leaving just the two main starters as reliable options.
Jacquet will be a huge addition when he makes the move at the end of the season, but it’s very possible his football will be limited between now and then.

L’Equipe revealed on Monday (via Get Football News France) that surgery is on the table after initial examinations, which ‘could compromise the end of his season’.
Rennes fear their star defender could be out for ‘several weeks’ if the surgery is deemed necessary.
Jacquet is young, and currently playing his first proper season of senior football. His development being halted by this would be a real shame, especially for his future club.
Jacquet’s World Cup dream fading
If the injury is as bad as initial reports claim, Jacquet’s chances of going to the World Cup will go from slim to none.
Juliens Laurens said he is on the verge of Deschamps’ squad, but missing time now so close to summer makes the dream feel out of reach.

Better for Liverpool, who can focus on integrating the young centre-back with a strong pre-season so he can make an impact on the side from the moment he arrives at Anfield.
But hopefully, the surgery suggestions are incorrect, and it’s a short stint on the sidelines.
