Chelsea could sign a new attacker this summer and have been heavily linked with Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz.

In fact, in December, it was claimed that Chelsea “love” Yildiz, who has made 32 appearances in all competitions this season.

However, Yildiz has just signed a contract extension at Juventus, making an exit in the next transfer window unlikely.

Chelsea still interested in Kenan Yildiz

Yildiz’s new contract does not appear to have scared off Chelsea as they continue to scour the market for another attacker.

Journalist Simon Phillips has claimed on Si Phillips Talks Chelsea that the club are still interested in signing the 20-year-old.

It is not hard to understand why Chelsea are such big fans of the player. Yildiz can play on the left and as an attacking midfielder and has produced in the final third this season.

In 23 Serie A outings, the Turkey international has scored eight goals and provided four assists. It is a brilliant return for a young footballer playing in one of Europe’s top divisions.

Whether Yildiz will be playing in Serie A or the Premier League this time next year remains to be seen.

Eden Hazard’s kids in awe of Kenan Yildiz

For now, it still seems unlikely that Yildiz will move to Chelsea in the summer. But if the Juventus star does, the children of Chelsea legend Eden Hazard will be delighted.

Hazard recently revealed that his kids are “crazy” about Yildiz and want to see him in the Premier League one day.

“My kids are crazy about Yildiz, they watch tons of videos of him playing and hope to see him in the Premier League,” the retired winger said.

During the January transfer window, Chelsea opted against signing a new attacker. It means Liam Rosenior will finish the season with Cole Palmer, Estevao Willian, Joao Pedro, Pedro Neto, Liam Delap, Alejandro Garnacho, Jamie Gittens and Marc Guiu. They are not bad options.
