Liverpool supporters are once again feeling down in the dumps on a Monday morning after seeing their team lose at Anfield.
Reds fans have become used to the sting of defeat this season having suffered an eighth Premier League reversal, this time at the hands of Manchester City.
For the fourth time this season, Liverpool lost via a stoppage time winner, making the pain of the loss even more acute.

Supporters’ moods’ will have plumbed new depths again if they had checked what was going in Munich as they were struggling to defeat at Anfield.
Of course, for what felt like the hundredth time this season, Luis Diaz was smashing it with Bayern. This time, as Cody Gakpo toiled on the Liverpool left, the former Reds No. 7 was smashing in a hat-trick.

On Sunday, he laid bare what a bad decision that was once again as he slammed in three goals against Hoffenheim.

Would Diaz make such a difference to this Liverpool team?
It is not as black and white as saying that Diaz is having a top season Bayern, so he would do the same at Liverpool.
Nevertheless, that particular debate is going to keep raging as long as the winger continues to deliver performances like this.
Liverpool are clearly missing his work-rate and unpredictability from their starting XI, but it is also true that Diaz could be an incredibly frustrating footballer.
Having another option to keep Gakpo on his toes would obviously be a good thing, though, and for that reason if none other, Liverpool are missing Diaz.
Selling him was never the problem last summer, but not replacing him has proven to be fatal.
