Manchester City kept their Premier League title hopes alive with an incredible win at Anfield over the weekend.
Manchester City's chaotic 2-1 win over Liverpool will go down in history as one of the greatest endings to a Premier League match.
The Blues looked on course to drop more points in the title race when Dominik Szoboszlai scored a stunning free-kick to give the hosts a late lead, only for Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland to turn the match on its head in dramatic circumstances.
It looked like Haaland would have the final say in the match when he netted a penalty in the third minute of added time, but there was still plenty of drama to follow. Rayan Cherki saw a third goal controversially ruled out after a VAR decision, which also resulted in Szoboszlai being shown a red card. Before that, there was also an incredible save from Gianluigi Donnarumma as he somehow clawed away a deflected Alexis MacAllister effort that looked certain to rescue a point for the home side.

Guardiola amazed by Donnarumma save
Erling Haaland will be remembered as the Man City match-winner at Anfield, but Gianluigi Donnarumma also played a huge role in their famous away win over Liverpool.
The 26-year-old endured a difficult start to the match on Merseyside, but grew into the contest in the second half with a much more confident performance. Donnarumma drew some criticism for only assembling a two-man wall to defend Dominik Szoboszlai's stunning free-kick, but he quickly redeemed himself with his sensational late save.
Alexis MacAllister thought he had salvaged a point when his ferocious effort took a deflection off Ruben Dias, only for the City shot-stopper to claw the ball away with a strong right hand. It proved to be a crucial moment in the match as City held on for three points, and could prove to be a huge moment in the title race.
Man City posted a video of the stunning save after the match, which showed head coach Pep Guardiola watching on in disbelief as the goalkeeper somehow kept the shot out of the net. The video showed Guardiola turn to his bench with his hands on his head and simply say: 'What a save!' before he attempted to imitate the stop himself.
