The Oklahoma City Thunder have assigned Serbian point guard Nikola Topic to their G League affiliate, the Oklahoma City Blue.

Topic has not played this season after undergoing testicular surgery in October, a procedure that later revealed a cancer diagnosis.
On Dec. 31, his agent confirmed that the 20-year-old had successfully completed chemotherapy, and he has since responded well while gradually increasing his on-court workload.
With this assignment, Topic is expected to resume practicing in the G League.
If his progress continues without setbacks, he could be cleared to appear in games for the Blue and potentially make his Thunder debut before the end of the season.
Selected 12th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft, Topic also spent the entire 2024-25 campaign recovering from a torn ACL.
