Kayla Nicole Just Clapped Back at Taylor Swift and Ex Travis Kelce: See the Pointed Super Bowl Jab That's Going Viral

The Super Bowl LX commercial breaks usually belong to talking babies or Clydesdales, but this year, the spotlight was hijacked by a different kind of drama. Kayla Nicole, the long-time ex of Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, made a cameo that had fans reaching for their phones faster than a halftime wardrobe change. Starring alongside comedian Tiffany Haddish and NBA's Ben Simmons, Nicole appeared to settle a score in the new ad.

The commercial features Haddish and Simmons as "emotional injury specialists" for a fictional firm dedicated to helping people move past high-profile breakups. The ad also features a revolving door of famous faces who have navigated their own very public splits, including Love Island USA star Ace Greene and **Cardi B'**s ex Offset, who joked, "I don't even know what I'm doing here, I'm great at relationships." But it was Nicole's session that felt the most pointed. Discussing her "ex-girlfriend" reputation, she traded lines with Simmons in a script that felt like a direct wink to the zeitgeist.

"Simmons and Haddish promised me that they could put an end to this whole ‘ex-girlfriend' fiasco quickly," Nicole says in the spot. "That doesn't sound right," Simmons interjects. "Rapidly," Nicole tries again. "Okay, pronto." "I said swiftly, why is that so hard to remember?" Simmons finally adds, in a sly reference to Taylor Swift.

The timing of the ad is particularly sharp. Nicole and Kelce, also 36, dated on and off for five years before splitting four years ago. On Sunday, Kelce watched from the stands as a spectator-missing the big game for the first time in years-while the Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots 29-13.

The spot also serves as a response to Swift's latest album, The Life of a Showgirl. Last October, fans speculated that the song "Opalite" was a dig at Nicole, featuring lyrics that seemed to describe Kelce's life before the pop star as "starving" and suggesting his ex was "just a pose." "You couldn't understand it, why you felt alone / You were in it for real, she was in her phone and you were just a pose," Swift sings on the track.

While the ad certainly ruffled some feathers within the "Swiftie" fandom, many on social media-particularly on Reddit-celebrated Nicole for leaning into the narrative. In a landscape where Swift is known for revisiting past grievances in her music, many felt it was only fair for Nicole to do the same.

"Go get you coins, Kayla," one Reddit user wrote. "She's gonna get dragged either way so why not make money off of it. Love this for her." Another pointed out the double standard often applied to the women in Kelce's life: "Taylor is profiting off of her she might as well do the same."

A third commenter added, "Good for Kayla. We've seen that Taylor will drag her enemies over and over... She's been dragging Jake Gyllenhaal and Kim K for years. She keeps digging at Joe. Might as well clap back and get your cash."
