Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news, gossip and transfer latest from icfootballnews featuring the likes of Aleksander Isak, Mason Greenwood and Rodrygo that you guys may have missed….
There has been some fresh reports which have claimed Liverpool and Manchester United are set to go head-to-head in an attempt to sign Real Madrid forward Rodrygo, as per a report in OkDiario.
Rodrygo scored 13 goals and provided over 10 assists in over 50 appearances last season, but Tension has been building between the Brazilian and Real with the winger unhappy with his role in the team with his relationship with his teammates deteriorating significantly.
According to recent reports, Madrid could be willing to part ways with the Brazilian forward if a substantial offer arrives. The ultimate decision, however, will rest with both Rodrygo and the new coach that Madrid wants to employ at the end of the season
But according to reports, LIVERPOOL are reportedly interested in a deal for Rodrygo as they will be seeking an immediate replacement for Mohamed Salah, who ha sbeen tipped to pack his bags and leave the club when the summer window opens up in a few months time.
And according to South American expert Tim Vickery, even though Rodrygo wants to stay at Madrid, he may seek a transfer move this summer: “Rodrygo has the Real Madrid dilemma that it’s hard for players to be top dog there and he’s so talented – almost absurdly talented.
“But someone has to do the hard yards and Jude Bellingham said last year that he considered Rodrygo the most talented of all of them and the one who has to sacrifice himself the most for the side.
“Where does Xabi Alonso see him? Because he can play anywhere across the front line. He didn’t use him very much in the Club World Cup and when he did, it was wide right.
“We know Rodrygo doesn’t want to play wide right. He would far prefer a free role. Now what we understand is that he’s very keen on staying at Real Madrid and proving that he can be a key part of that side.
‘He might start looking around and what an asset he would be.
“It’s a waste to have him as a bit-part player, filling in spaces or playing wide on the right. You want him roaming free, dropping his little bombs all around the opposing goal.”

The summer transfer window is many months away and LIVERPOOL cant actually make any moves happen now, but Rodrygo is a player that they have been chasing for many transfer window and it seems that the summer may be the best chance to get him signed.
We are sure that Salah will finally leave Liverpool in the summer, we are just not sure that Rodrygo is the answer to replacing the Egyptian star.
LIVERPOOL WANTS GREENWOOD
There has been some stunning reports in the media which have claimed that LIVERPOOL are eyeing up a potential move to sign Marseille superstar Mason Greenwood during the summer transfer window, as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah
The Egyptian international was linked with an exit after an outburst to the media during the January window, but those links were quietened with his involvement at AFCON for most of the winter window.
However – the talk that he could still be leaving this coming summer window has started to creep back into the media, with many reports suggesting that a move to Saudi Arabia is one that Salah may now be interested in making.
That has led to all sorts of reports in the media about the possible players that Liverpool could look to sign at the end of the season, and according to reports by Fichajes in Spain, Marseille striker Mason Greenwood is on the radar of both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Both clubs are said to be ‘ready’ to pay £78m ($106m) for the former Manchester United forward, which would see the Red Devils pocket 50% of the profits due to a hefty sell-on clause
The 24-year-old registered 22 goals in his debut campaign and has already matched that return this term, while also recording eight assists. He has once again been the standout performer for Ligue 1 giants – who have been gracing the Champions League this season.

Mohamed Salah is not the player that he was last season, he is a man that LIVERPOOL could easily replace now if he does pack those bags and head to Saudi Arabia, where he will earn a massive wage.
Greenwood has rebuilt his career over in France and become such a superstar for Marseille, there are many that would like to see him back in the Premier League with one of the big clubs, to see if he can produce like he has been in France.
However – Greenwood would like to stay away from the British media, from the English fans that will drive him crazy for his time at Manchester United, it may not be the best idea to come back to the Premier League that is for sure.
If he does leave Marseille, maybe a move to Germany, Spain or Italy would be the better option as he would stay away from the British press.
ROONEY SENDS ISAK MESSAGE
Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney believes Alexander Isak only has himself to blame for slow start to life at Liverpool, as the big Swedish star has failed to impress during his few months at the Merseyside giants.
After establishing himself as one of the best finishers in Europe, last summer saw Liverpool make the big decision that they would spend £125 million to bring the striker to Anfield in hope that he could take his game to that next level.
However – injuries, poor performances and the brilliant of Hugo Ekitike has meant that Isak has not made any real impression at LIVERPOOL, that he has become one of the biggest transfer flops of the summer window and now Rooney has had his say on the move.
Speaking on his on his podcast, Rooney said: “I think it’s his own fault. You know, he didn’t train with Newcastle. There’s no harm in asking, in leaving Newcastle for Liverpool. I think logically, probably nine out 10 Newcastle players would do that now.
“But I think the way he went about it and not training with the team, he left himself short without a pre-season. And then he picked up his first injury. I know the second one (injury) is a tackle, but he hasn’t been match fit since he’s been at Liverpool, I don’t think.
“We always talk about the mental side of the game and there’s big pressure playing at big clubs. He knows that. Newcastle is a big club, their fan base, I can imagine that being a tough team to play for with how passionate the Newcastle fans are.
“So he’ll have known and expected that. But his Liverpool career just hasn’t got up and going yet.”

Isak wanted this move, he needed this move to prove that he is one of the best in world football, but it really has not worked out and he may struggle to get back into the form that he showed at Newcastle.
He didnt have to leave the Toon, he could have stayed, he is probably regretting making the decision to leave and join LIVERPOOL ay?
