Lakers vs Thunder Injury Report Raises Bronny James Question

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Oklahoma City Thunder will square off Monday night for the second time this season.

Both teams have some notable names on the injury report, taking some steam out of the game that would've featured a potential playoff game preview.

The game takes place in Los Angeles, California, serving as the first visit to Crypto.com Arena for the Thunder this year.

The Lakers-Thunder Injury Reports

OKC Thunder

Monday night marks the third absence in a row for the reigning NBA MVP. Gilgeous-Alexander missed the Thunder's two matchups against the San Antonio Spurs and the Houston Rockets. The Thunder didn't do well enough without him to pick up a win, marking the first two losses without Gilgeous-Alexander on the court this season.

When the Lakers and the Thunder faced off last, Gilgeous-Alexander scored 30 points in under 30 minutes. He nearly notched a double-double with nine assists.

Los Angeles Lakers

The sharpshooter Luka Doncic had all eyes on him during the Lakers' February 5 matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. After 15 minutes of action, Doncic went back to the Lakers' locker room in discomfort. He was dealing with a hamstring issue.

The Lakers didn't seem overly concerned, but Doncic went on to miss the following outing against the Golden State Warriors. He'll get another night off on Monday, as LA looks to keep the win streak alive with four in a row.

Some other names to keep an eye on are the reserves Dalton Knecht and Bronny James. Recently, the Lakers did some roster shifting. Knecht was assigned to the South Bay Lakers on Sunday. He reportedly practiced with the team, but was left off the injury report on Monday, signaling he could be active for Monday's game.

As for Bronny James, he was reportedly assigned to South Bay on Monday afternoon, according to Lakers Nation's Trevor Lane. The Lakers have not officially downgraded the second-year guard as of Monday afternoon.
