The Sixers could pursue buyout players like Chris Boucher, Lonzo Ball, and Haywood Highsmith in the near future.

The Philadelphia 76ers are preparing to be on the buyout market.

Philadelphia is expected to open at least two roster spots soon, as the 10-day contracts of Charles Bassey and Patrick Baldwin Jr. are approaching their expiration this weekend.

Meanwhile, Paul George's current suspension gives the Sixers the flexibility to temporarily place him on the suspended list.

According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, players to keep an eye on include Chris Boucher, Lonzo Ball, and Haywood Highsmith.

Financially, the Sixers sit roughly $1.6 million below the luxury tax and about $3.8 million under the first apron, allowing them to add two rest-of-season minimum contracts without incurring tax penalties.

Boucher could provide frontcourt depth and has familiarity with coach Nick Nurse from their time together in Toronto.

Ball, recently waived by Utah, would bolster a backcourt that has experienced departures before the February 5 trade deadline.

Meanwhile, Highsmith, who started his career with Philadelphia and was recently waived by Brooklyn, is nearing a return from meniscus surgery.
