After signing with the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday, Cam Thomas is prepared to take the floor Monday night in Orlando, reports Eric Nehm of The Athletic.
Thomas said he would be ready to play tonight if needed, but didn’t know the plan tonight.
So, that will end up being a Doc Rivers decision this evening. https://t.co/mDWm4Lz9rc

Thomas is excited to help out his new team, but whether he actually gets minutes against the Magic remains to be seen. He carries a questionable tag on the team’s availability report.
Thomas TBD to play versus Magic
Doc Rivers, of course, may already have his mind made up on Thomas’ status for tonight. One fan noted how the team handled Kevin Porter Jr. last season after his arrival at the trade deadline, suggesting the Bucks may manage Thomas similarly.
Last year, KPJ didn’t really get any run until post all-star break, and from then on he was a rotation fixture. I’m anticipating the same for Cam

In contrast to the circumstances of the Porter addition, this year’s team is struggling to survive and could benefit from an immediate boost from a natural scorer like Thomas.
Last season, the Bucks entered the All-Star break at 29-24. In 2025-26, they are 21-29 and once again missing Giannis Antetokounmpo. During his pre-break absence in ’24-25, having Damian Lillard to run the offense was a major difference compared to the current roster.
Despite a poor season thus far, Thomas also comes with a track record of recent production more promising than Porter’s. Porter missed all of 2023-24 due to domestic violence charges. In his return to the NBA, he got off to a rusty start with the Clippers before ending up in Milwaukee.
Thomas, meanwhile, averaged 22.9 points across 91 games over the past two seasons. While his defense and passing skills leave much to be desired, his scoring could be a welcome asset for a Bucks offense whose net rating of 113 ranks 24th in the league.
