Kawhi Leonard is having the best scoring season of his NBA career.
In part, that's because the Los Angeles Clippers' all-time great is doing things that no one has ever done before.
Or, well, at least one shot that no one has ever made before.
You've seen the Michael Jordan famous layup where he switched hands.
How about Leonard doing something similar on a short floating jumper?

Technically, Leonard ended up shooting with the same hand, his preferred right, that he initially went up with.
But first, he did a complicated double-clutch maneuver in mid-air.
The ability to be in the air long enough to do this, as well as to then still have the touch to make the shot after the double-clutch, is remarkable.

Leonard dropped 41 points on Super Bowl Sunday in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
For the season, he's averaging 28.0 points per game. That'd be a career-high for Leonard.
It doesn't hurt the cause that he can make shots like that. Kawhi is certainly feeling at the top of his game, and the Clippers remain one of the hottest teams in the NBA thanks to his high-octane performances.
