Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry will be out through the All-Star break, head coach Steve Kerr told reporters ahead of their Monday showdown against the Memphis Grizzlies.

For this, Kerr also noted that Curry won't be able to play in the NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.

Curry is notably dealing with right knee patellofemoral pain syndrome (commonly known as "runner's knee"). He is set to miss five straight games already heading to the All-Star break, including the Dubs' upcoming Wednesday home matchup against the San Antonio Spurs.

Given his All-Star Game inactivity, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver will also have to name a replacement for Curry. The star guard has been voted as a starter and a member of the USA Stripes.

Curry, 37, is averaging 27.2 points, 4.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds this season.
