Per On3, an Alabama circuit judge dismissed Bediako's motion for a preliminary injunction, which officially ended his tenure and playing eligibility with the Alabama Crimson Tides this season.
Bediako was allowed to play under a temporary restraining order, but County Circuit Court Judge Daniel Pruet cited that Bediako “failed to demonstrate that he is entitled to the injunctive relief that he seeks."
The 23-year-old made nationwide headlines as he sought to return to college basketball after playing three seasons in the NBA G League. Bediako, who played for the Austin Spurs, Grand Rapids Gold and Motor City Cruise, was given a TRO after pleading his case that the NCAA's recent eligibility rulings have been inconsistent and overly restrictive.
Bediako went on and averaged 10 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 blocks in five games (3-2) for Alabama. His playing appearances drew hecklings and jeers from college fans.
