Miles Bridges doesn't exactly have a great track record off the court in recent years, and it all stems from the altercations he was accused of having with the mother of his children.
Bridges missed an entire season because of this after being suspended by the NBA, throwing away what would have been a massive payday as he was set to be a free agent. Obviously he's apologized for the incident(s), and has tried to do better, but his reputation took another hit on Monday night against the Detroit Pistons.
The former Michigan State star defended his teammate Moussa Diabate, who happens to be a former Michigan star, after him and Jalen Duren went at it after a physical play.
Not only did Bridges defend the former Wolverine, but he threw a couple of punches for him. The entire sequence was ugly, and it only got worse when Bridges broke away from an assistant coach who was holding him back to charge at Duren and throw a punch.
Chaos ensued.
Mayhem between the Pistons & Hornets!
Jalen Duren & Moussa Diabate get into it. Miles Bridges goes after Duren. Isaiah Stewart then comes in to defend his teammate.

Bridges was trying to fight Duren, and then Detroit's "enforcer" Isaiah Stewart ran onto the floor and got in the most hilarious fighter's stance to get ready to throw punches at the Spartan hooper.
The former Michigan State star then tried to tackle Stewart and both guys were swarmed by teammates to break up the ugly altercation. They were both consoled by teammates and obviously there were ejections. You can't be throwing punches in a basketball game and expect to come out unscathed by the referees.
Bridges just has to be smarter than this, especially since he's already been under a microscope after his previous off-court issues. He can't be going around throwing punches at fellow NBA players over a physical play. He needs to keep his composure, but Duren wasn't exactly innocent here either.
Still, just a really ugly play for the Spartan. This is the last press Michigan State fans want to see regarding players or former players after all the overblown Jeremy Fears discourse. Hopefully he learns from this and stays away from the negative headlines.
