Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall shares what he's noticed from day one about Chelsea loanee Tyrique George at Everton

Chelsea fans are keeping a close eye on Tyrique George at Everton after joining former midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.

The Blues have seen an incredible rise from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall since making his way to Everton.

He’s scored five goals and assisted four in the Premier League alone this season, despite only featuring in 18 games for the Toffees.

And Dewsbury-Hall has admitted he’s become a better footballer since joining Everton.

Chelsea have seen Enzo Fernandez go on his own hot streak from midfield this season, which will have dampened any frustration fans may have about his exit.

But his words on George will be of interest.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall praises Tyrique George

Tyrique George made the move to Chelsea in a loan deal until the end of the season, with the option to buy in the summer transfer window.

And it looks as if he’s been impressing already.

Speaking to Liverpool Echo, Dewsbury-Hall has noticed how hard George is working.

“I’m excited by it, Tyrique is a really, really good player. He’s an exciting young player with a great attitude.

“You can see even today coming on, he looks comfortable. He doesn’t look nervous.

“He wants to show what he’s about, he’s got that, not arrogance, but good confidence. If he settles in quickly, he will be a big, big addition to this team.”

Harsh on Santos, but at home, let’s get as many attacking players on the pitch as possible 💪

What Dewsbury-Hall told David Moyes about Tyrique George

Interestingly, Dewsbury-Hall didn’t actually beg or even speak to George about joining Everton, it was entirely his decision to make the move.

But, judging from his chat with David Moyes, it’s clear that he recommended the youngster.

“I had a little chat with the gaffer and told him what my opinion was. I didn’t really speak to Ty because it’s up to him what he wants to do, but I’m glad that he chose us. Obviously I’ve been speaking to him a lot since he’s been here about what happens here, what goes on, how we do things.

“He’s taken to it straight away, to be fair, from day one in training. So hopefully he’ll get up to speed quick and you’ll see some goals and assists.”
