Chelsea news: Blues in contact over striker, Palmer makes admission, fee will get superstar signed by Chelsea

Here is the big transfer news for Chelsea fans regarding Cole Palmer’s future at the club, Blues contact in bid to sign Dusan Vlahovic and the fee that will complete the summer signing of Julian Alvarez….

Chelsea would have to pay a big fee if they were to lure Julian Alvarez back to the Premier League, that is according to ex-Everton and Aston Villa chief executive Keith Wyness, amid the many reports that the Blues are still keen on a transfer deal.

Over the past few weeks, it is no secret that CHELSEA have been heavily linked with a move for Julian Alvarez ever since news broke that Spanish giants Atletico Madrid would be open to letting the little striker leave the club during the summer transfer window.

However – CHELSEA are not the only club that is interested in a move for Alvarez at the end of the season, as there are also alot more reports in the media which have claimed that Arsenal are actually leading the chase to sign the forward for a fee of £82 million

Now, amid all the speculation and rumours surrounding the striker, Speaking on the new edition of Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast, Wyness thinks the striker would be worth the high fee Chelsea would have to pay for him.

He told Football Insider‘s Inside Track podcast: “Yes, look, I know that Julian Alvarez has been very highly regarded at Atletico Madrid.

“Everybody loves him, and he saved them in many ways. A number of big games. He’s a great player. If he was to come back, then I think that would be a big move, but well worth it.

“He is quality and I think he would suit them very well. But yes, he is very highly regarded, and it would not be a cheap one, but I think he does want to come back to the UK and I think he’ll set the Premier League on fire again, and I think even more so now he’s had this spell at Atletico where he really has impressed to a great degree.”

There will continue to be rumours linking CHELSEA with some of the biggest and best players in the game over the next few months, but if Liam Rosenior actually wants to sign Alvarez, we are sure the board will back him.

DUSAN VLAHOVIC CONTACT

There has been some fresh reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea are hoping to sign Dusan Vlahovic on a free transfer from Juventus at the end of the season.

CHELSEA have spent some serious money in the last couple of transfer windows adding players like Joao Pedro and Liam Delap in a bid to find that striker that has the ability to score 25-30 goals a season.

However – despite the impressive performances at times of Pedro and Delap, Chelsea needs to delve into that transfer kitty once again at the end of the season and try to sign another forward that can lead the Blues front line.

Though Vlahovic has been an important performer for Juventus in recent season, scoring 64 goals in 162 games, the Italian side are keen to offload his club-high £350,000-a-week wages.

Clubs across Europe are on alert regarding Vlahovic’s situation, and the TMW website are reporting that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have contacted the player’s representatives about a possible move to the Premier League in the summer

Vlahovic was free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides in the January window, but obviously that did not happen, but reports have claimed the London duo are battling for his signature. AC Milan are also keen and confident of a deal, despite Vlahovic’s interest in a move to England

Vlahovic is a quality striker that has all the ability to be a brilliants Premier League forward, so if he is interested in a move to England, then this would be a good option for the likes of CHELSEA

The Blues have a world class attack that is struggling for goals, so if there is a chance to sign Vlahovic at the end of the season on a free, then he could be the answer to the Blues striking issues since the days of Diego Costa.

Anything could happen in the summer window, but Vlahovic has proven at the highest level that he is a striker that can score the goals that this CHELSEA attack have been missing at times this season.

COLE PALMER SENDS MESSAGE

Attacker Cole Palmer has opened up and responded to the many reports in the media that he could leave Chelsea at the end of the season, and make the move to Manchester United, but he has responded to the rumours.

After having a season that has been full of injuries, after having a January window that saw Enzo Maresca get sacked by the CHELSEA board after a poor start to the season, there has been alot of speculation that Manchester United are keen on Palmer.

Manchester United will be looking to add some quality at the end of the season and adding players to the side that will make a real difference, and with the rumours that Palmer is homesick and wants a move back to Manchester, a £120M has been mooted.

Palmer was the star of the show as the Blues saw off bottom of the table Wolves 3-1 at Molineux, and the noise circulating Palmer has been incessant in recent weeks, but Palmer was keen to quash any speculation after the Wolves game. Speaking to BBC’s Match of the Day, he said: “Everyone loves to chat rubbish, don’t they? I don’t pay too much attention to it.

“You see things. But I feel like I’ve come from a strong place anyway so I don’t pay attention to it.”

Palmer being linked with a move to leave the club at the end of the season has come as a shock to many CHELSEA fans, especially as he is tied down to a massive contract and has shown no desire to want to depart the club.

So fans will love that he has come out and responded in a way that suggests that he does not want to leave the club, that he wants to stay and continue to win trophies at Stamford Bridge, it will be a massive boost for the rest of the season.

It will be interesting to see just what happens at the end of the season, but for now, this is a massive boost for the club.
