Leeds United are dealing with some injury issues ahead of their clash with Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Leeds United will be without at least two players for their clash with Chelsea on Tuesday night, and they are still sweating on the return of another key player. The Whites have been in good form over recent months, becoming one of the harder-to-beat sides in the bottom of the Premier League.

A big win over relegation rivals Nottingham Forest on Friday kept them six points above the drop zone, and already with 29 points in the bank, survival looks to be on the cards as long as they can keep picking up points at a steady rate, even if wins are hard to come by.

But the Yorkshire club know they face a big test next time out when they face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and a Chelaea side in resurgent form under new boss Liam Rosenior. The Blues beat Wolves over the weekend to make it just two defeats in nine games under the new boss.

Chelsea are in fifth place currently, one point behind the in-form Manchester United, and they will feel as though they need to keep winning to keep pace. Though, they will be aware of Leeds’ recent form, and the danger they possess.

Leeds injuy concerns

The quick turnaround will be a challenge for clubs aplenty in the Premier League this week, and for Leeds it means at least two players will be absent, while key striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin will need to be checked on due to illness.

“At the moment, both seem to be available,” Leeds boss Daniel Farke has said. “Dominic was struggling a little bit with illness but I hope it’s not too bad and I hope he’s available. In terms of knocks and muscle injuries, there’s nothing. Ilia (Gruev) is tough.”

He added: “Bad news with Pascal Struijk, he will definitely miss this game. He has got some problems after the game with his hip flexor and the turnaround will be a bit too quick so he will definitely miss this game.

“Anton Stach will also be back probably for the Villa game so they both will definitely miss the game. Apart from that, I hope to have everyone available.”

Speaking about the clash in general terms, Farke said: “It's the same game. Same rules. Of course you always feel more comfortable at home, and especially with out second to none supporters. But still the same game, and for that, we travel also with confidence, with belief and we know if we perform well then we always have a chance on the road."

He added on Chelsea: “Very promising group of players with bags of potential. Once they're on it, it could also be a difficult game and difficult night. We travel with respect but also aware that we have also the tools to bring our strength on the pitch and if we do so, then we don't fear anyone and we have a chance wherever we go."
