Everton manager David Moyes does not sound convinced about Tyrique George yet, despite loaning him in the January transfer window.
He points out the fact that they were not getting a Jack Grealish when they signed the Chelsea youngster on deadline day in the winter window this year and for me, I’m not too sure that he really rates him!

It’s some bizarre words really. Did Moyes even watch George play much before he agreed to sign him? Is it the fact that he’s only on loan so it doesn’t really matter anyway? Maybe he just wanted him for a bit of extra numbers in his squad for the rest of the season and has no plans to use him much?

As cited on X this week, David Moyes said on Tyrique George:
“I am seeing a bit of him which I like but again he’s a young player. He’s still a young boy. So, we have to be careful and we don’t expect too much from him. It is not as if we are getting a Jack Grealish.”
Wow. Baffling. That’s hardly going to inject any confidence into a young player now, is it?
I don’t personally think George is ever going to make it at a top club, but he’s certainly got a bit about him.
