**Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is reportedly becoming “disillusioned” with the situation at the club, amid doubts over his future in charge.**
After a couple of pressure-easing wins over Qarabag and Newcastle United, Slot is now feeling the heat again after losing 2-1 at home to Manchester City last weekend.
For some, the Dutchman has reached the point of no return, with a change needed in the Liverpool dugout sooner rather than later, in order to avoid missing out on Champions League football.
While it looks as though FSG aren’t planning to sack Slot in the near future, a new update from a reputable source on [_X_](https://x.com/indykaila/status/2020965993737265571?s=20) has suggested otherwise.
In their [report](https://hooligan-soccer.com/arne-slots-next-move/), they claim that the 47-year-old is becoming increasingly “disillusioned” with life at Anfield, feeling as though a move abroad may suit him better:
_“Slot is also reportedly disillusioned. He believes that his style of play would be better suited to a continental side such as Bayern Munich or Real Madrid. He’s also believes that leaving under his own terms would give him better opportunities, and he might exercise that option.”_
**An update that is unlikely to please Liverpool fans**
-------------------------------------------------------
If true, a big section of Liverpool’s fanbase won’t exactly feel enamoured by this update, considering the general feeling is that Slot is to blame for such a poor season.
He should always receive huge praise for winning the Premier League title with the Reds last time around, but the 2025/26 campaign has been a shambles.
Slot’s tactics have left a lot to be desired throughout the season, and his pre and post-match comments have sounded more desperate by the week, so it feels bold of him to suggest that he isn’t the problem and is potentially being hard done by.
At this point, a mutual parting of ways feels like the best outcome for Liverpool, but if that doesn’t happen until the end of the season, there is every chance that the Reds will fail to qualify for the Champions League.
That would be disastrous and embarrassing, considering they are the reigning Premier League champions, and huge improvements are needed from all concerned to prevent that from happening.
