Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has joined Joe Hart and Andy Robertson in wearing the Celtic colours.
After Oxlade-Chamberlain trained with Arsenal following his departure from Besiktas last summer, Celtic snapped him up on a free transfer when the January transfer window slammed shut.
Oxlade-Chamberlain grew up in the south coast of England, coming through Southampton’s academy, so he has only known about Celtic from an outside viewpoint.
So, when it came to the 32-year-old signing for the champions of Scotland, he got a few words in his ear from Hart and Robertson.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on speaking with Joe Hart and Andy Robertson
Over the weekend, Oxlade-Chamberlain got a taste of Celtic when he watched the Hoops beat Dundee in the Scottish Cup.
But it seems as though he has also been speaking to Hart and Robertson, regarding those in green and white.
Speaking to Celtic TV, Oxlade-Chamberlain was asked if he had spoken to any former or current players about the club, and that’s when he dropped Hart and Robertson’s names on the table.

“I spoke with Joe Hart,” shared Oxlade-Chamberlain. “I don’t know if you can call Andy Robertson an ex-player.
“But he came through here, didn’t he? I spoke to them boys. Yeah, all good things from them.”
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s character
Yes, Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn’t played a competitive game since May, and he will need time to get up to speed.
Thankfully, Celtic have enough games going on for that to happen because the schedule is relentless from now until the international break at the end of March.
It remains to be seen how much of a difference the England international will make, but you sense one thing that will prove to be an instant uplift: his character.
Added to that, Oxlade-Chamberlain has played on the biggest of stages, so hopefully, it will all prove to be helpful on and off the pitch for O’Neill, as Celtic chase a domestic double.
