Excitement is building for Hull City’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea, with the club already confirming a sell-out.

The Tigers welcome the Blues to the MKM Stadium on Friday, February 13, for a 7:45pm kick-off and what will be an opportunity for Sergej Jakirovic’s men to measure themselves against a team currently operating in the Champions League.

While Jakirovic has the luxury of a six-day build-up, Chelsea must first face Leeds United at Stamford Bridge this evening, giving them just a three-day turnaround.

That will place a stress on Rosenior’s squad, one already lacking some important players and hoping that Reece James and Tosin Adarabioyo will be able to feature this evening.

Whether the defenders have recovered from their respective illness and thigh injury or not, the visitors will definitely be without five players.

Speaking before the Leeds game Rosenior said: “Reece is OK, he had a small issue, but is feeling unwell today. It's not a conspiracy, it's the truth. Hopefully, he'll be feeling well enough to be involved in tomorrow's game.

"Tosin is looking good, he trained today, and it's great to have him in and around the group.”

However, Levi Colwill is out for the season with a knee injury, Jamie Gittens’ thigh is expected to keep him out until mid-March. Dario also has a thigh problem.

As does Romeo Lavia, who is expected to be missing for another couple more weeks. Rosenior added: “He has been on the training pitch with us in the last two days, which has been great to see.

“As I’ve said before, what we have to do is make sure that when he’s back, he’s back for good. We are just making sure he gets the right plan over the next ten days, two weeks to achieve that.”

Mykhailo Mudryk remains suspended.
