Stephen Curry’s status for NBA All-Star Game revealed amidst knee injury

The 2026 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles will now be without one of basketball’s biggest stars.

According to Bleacher Report, it has been confirmed as per Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr that Stephen Curry, who has 12 All-Star selections to his name, will not play in this weekend’s All-Star Game due to a knee injury.

As per espn.com, Curry is currently experiencing issues with patellofemoral pain syndrome, which is also known as runner’s knee.

“It’s a matter of learning as I go what works rehab-wise,” Curry said to ESPN regarding his injury.

“Because it’s still painful. You have to try to get rid of all the inflammation and pain. It’s something we still have to monitor and injury-manage, but it’s something where, if I come back too early, it could flare up.”

Curry missing in action for Warriors

Curry’s knee problem has now caused him to miss four consecutive games for the Warriors, including Monday’s 114-113 home win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

Golden State will also be without Curry when they take on the San Antonio Spurs in their next matchup. However, the Warriors have hopes that the two-time NBA MVP will be fit enough to play in their home clash against the Boston Celtics on February 19, following the All-Star break.

As for the All-Star Game, the event will now be missing a couple of league MVPs with Curry and Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander also unavailable because of an injury.
