The Milwaukee Bucks debuted a couple of players during Monday’s road game at Kia Center against the visiting Orlando Magic.
Making their first appearances in Milwaukee threads in that contest wereveteran guard Cam Thomasand young forward Ousmane Dieng.
The 22-year-old got to see the floor late in the fourth quarter, as Milwaukee head coach Doc Rivers decided to give him playing time amid a blowout. The former first-round pick by the New York Knicks at the 2022 NBA Draft capitalized on the minutes given to him, as he scored a bucket in his Bucks debut.
Dieng scores first bucket with the Bucks in loss to the Magic
With under three minutes left in regulation, Dieng found himself isolated against Magic rookie guard Jase Richardson. He then put the ball on the floor and went to the paint, where he pulled up and drained his first-ever bucket as a Buck.

Dieng was acquired by the Bucks via a three-team trade at the deadline that also involved the Chicago Bulls and the Phoenix Suns. In that transaction, Milwaukee sent Cole Anthony and Amir Coffey to the Suns and also got Nigel Hayes-Davis from Phoenix.
But before that, Dieng was traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder to the Bulls. Before coming over to Milwaukee, Dieng averaged 10.9 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 27 games for the reigning NBA champions Thunder.
