Reports in Germany claim that Bayern Munich aren’t interested in an Arsenal transfer target, which is a huge boost for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta will hope his side can continue their impressive form as things stand, and remain at the top of the Premier League table. The Gunners face off against Brentford on Thursday night, hoping that Man City will drop points against Leeds United on Wednesday.

Arsenal have got one of the best squads in the world, and so it was no surprise that they didn’t make any moves during the January transfer window, but they are expected to spend big in the summer.
Considering that Gabriel Jesus’ contract is due to expire at the end of next season, and he’s been very injury prone, Arsenal could make a move for a striker in the summer transfer window.
Arsenal linked to Alvarez
Former Man City striker Julian Alvarez has been linked to Arsenal for several years now. He was linked during his time at City, and has since been linked at Atletico Madrid.
Alvarez joined Atletico Madrid in 2024, and has since been somewhat of a goal machine, especially last season. He’s scored 11 goals in 33 games this season for Atletico, and is expected to command a fee of around £78m in the summer.
Chelsea are also reportedly interested in the Argentine international and Bayern Munich have also been linked in the past, as they need a long-term replacement for Harry Kane.
Bayern ‘not considering’ Alvarez
According to German Journalist Christian Falk on X, Bayern Munich are not actively considering Alvarez for the summer, which clears the way for Arsenal to make a move.
Falk posted: “Boost for Arsenal? Bayern Munich not considering Julian Alvarez move.” – The Gunners may just need to overcome rivals Chelsea in their pursuit of the former Manchester City man this summer.
