Mohamed Salah’s future at Liverpool has been in doubt for much of the season, and now concrete talks over a summer move are picking up steam.
The destination for Salah should he leave Anfield was always likely to be Saudi Arabia.
His astronomical wages can’t be matched by many clubs, but the money is there in the Middle East.
Liverpool are assessing Salah’s future, and it feels more and more like it will be somewhere else come the end of the season.

Even the Egyptian appears to be thinking this way judging by the latest reports from France.
Al-Ittihad open talks with Mo Salah’s agent as new stance revealed
Al-Ittihad identified Salah as a top choice to replace Karim Benzema after the Frenchman’s swift exit in January.
The interest has now been reciprocated.
FootMercato report that Salah has given his agent leave to open discussions with the Saudi side, who want to bring in a superstar name after losing the Real Madrid legend to Al-Hilal.

It’s more serious than previous links, with Salah reportedly ‘much more open’ to the move than he has been in the past. Maybe that’s down to his recent struggles on Merseyside.
The club see signing Salah as a major coup despite his age, and with how his Liverpool form has been of late, the move is considered to ‘satisfy all parties’.
He is one of the best to ever put on a Liverpool shirt, but now might be the time to part ways with The Egyptian King.
Liverpool should ask for Moussa Diaby in return
This is a flag I planted back in January. Former Aston Villa winger Moussa Diaby is interested in a return to Europe, having almost moved to Inter Milan a few weeks ago.
If they want Salah, Liverpool should ask for the Frenchman in return.
His output in Germany and England was extremely impressive, and at 26, he still has plenty to give.

It might not be the long-term replacement FSG need to find, but Diaby would be a great addition to the attack. He can play across the attacking line and his blistering pace would give Liverpool some much-needed directness.
This is as clear a sign as we’ve been given that Salah is bound for the exit. Why not sweeten the deal on what would be an emotional departure.
