Chelsea have relied heavily on their three untouchables, Moises Caicedo, Enzo Fernandez and Cole Palmer this season.
Liam Rosenior has handled things brilliantly since becoming Chelsea boss. Many believed that it would be difficult to get a tune out of some players after Enzo Maresca’s departure, but the feedback is all positive.
Robert Sanchez and other Chelsea players have praised Rosenior since he’s come in, changing the way they play and bringing extra confidence to the squad.
Chelsea aren’t the finished product just yet, but the platform has been built. It’s just about consistency and adopting the right mindset, as things fell off in the second half against Wolves.
One thing that many thought would be an issue was the big personalities at the club, but that’s already proven to be incorrect.
Rosenior is the perfect manager for Palmer, isn’t he? 🤔
Liam Rosenior says Moises Caicedo, Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez have been no trouble at all
There’s a stigma at most big clubs around the so-called ‘big player’ with many from the outside presuming that they’ll have big egos and personalities.
But at Chelsea that’s just not the case in Liam Rosenior’s eyes, when speaking to the club.
“I think they’re getting to know me better and better, and know my staff. I think I’m getting to know them better and better.
“When I walked in here people asked if players like Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo would respect me.
“They’re great people, they’re normal people who love doing what they do, with a lack of ego, with a huge humility, who want to improve.”
Cole Palmer is the best signing of the Todd Boehly era, there’s no debate 🤩
Liam Rosenior’s untouchables at Chelsea
Cole Palmer is the face of the project. Since joining from Manchester City, he has surpassed 50 goals for the club, including a record-breaking three first-half hat-tricks in his career. Rosenior has publicly labeled Palmer as “world-class” and “unstoppable,” dismissing any rumours of an exit in recent times.
Meanwhile, Moises Caicedo ranks among the Premier League’s best for combined tackles and interceptions, providing the defensive security that allows Chelsea to be more expansive. And Caicedo’s market value is now estimated by some analysts to have doubled since his £115 million arrival.
Enzo Fernandez has taken on a more advanced role, contributing 11 goals and four assists in all competitions. His ability to control the tempo and rank in the top percentiles for progressive carries and passes makes him irreplaceable for a Chelsea team that prioritises high possession.
The perfect trio.
