“Shut Your Face, Pack It In”–Agent Of Newcastle United Star Slammed After Arsenal Offer

TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan says Sandro Tonali’s agent has no right to be offering the Newcastle United midfielder to other clubs.

Respected journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that a representative of the Italian international did approach Arsenal before the transfer window closed. His agent Giuseppe Riso has since denied that any offer was made, but Jordan – a former chairman of Crystal Palace – is not happy with how things have been handled:

“I would say to him [Riso] you’ve got a contract that looks like you’re staying with us until 2029, so shut your face, pack it in… “Now the agent might be offering the player, but that’s not his gift; the agent can’t offer anybody to anybody, his registration is with Newcastle.”

“Newcastle look like they’ve got him under contract until 2029. It’s 2026. Why would the agent feel that he has one single scintilla of a mandate to offer a cup of coffee, let alone him to another football club?”

Tonali’s future is in doubt

Despite the player’s agent refuting the Arsenal story, he did make it clear that the midfielder would be considering his future this summer.

Several clubs are said to be circling Tonali. Manchester City, Manchester United and even Liverpool have been mentioned as potential suitors, in addition to the Gunners.

However, the 25-year-old would reportedly prefer to return to Italy, with Juventus among the keenest clubs in Serie A wanting to buy him.

Newcastle may accept a nine-figure sum

If Tonali does force a move away from St James’ Park, the club would be well within their rights to demand top dollar, especially considering his contract situation.

Another reliable reporter, The Telegraph‘s Mike McGrath, believes that the Magpies may accept a fee in the region of £100m for Tonali.
