Gabriel, Gyokeres To Start; Havertz Benched: Arsenal Predicted XI vs Brentford

Arsenal are preparing for a game against a tough Brentford side on Thursday to maintain their lead in the Premier League.

The Gunners come off an impressive 3-0 win against Sunderland in which Martin Zubimendi and Viktor Gyokeres scored Arsenal’s goals. Gyokeres has now netted three goals in his last three games, and looks to be coming into form.

Mikel Arteta will hope his side can continue their form, but he won’t be taking anything for granted as Arsenal will make the short trip to play against an impressive Brentford side on Thursday.

Arteta sticks with his best back four

GK – David Raya – After keeping a clean sheet against Sunderland, Arteta hopes Raya can do more of the same against Brentford.

LB – Riccardo Calafiori – The Italian left-back has been the first choice this season, and will be tasked with keeping Kevin Schade quiet on Thursday.

CB – William Saliba –Saliba will yet again line up for Arsenal, and he will have the task of stopping Igor Thiago from scoring.

CB – Gabriel –Gabriel will be a popular choice in FPL this week as a triple captain due to Arsenal’s double game week.

RB – Jurrien Timber – Timber starts on the right-hand side, and will look to continue his impressive form this season.

Odegaard returns from injury

CM – Martin Zubimendi – Zubimendi starts again after scoring a superb goal against Sunderland in the last game.

CM – Declan Rice – Rice will also be a popular FPL pick this week, due to his ability from set-pieces, and his defensive contributions.

CAM – Martin Odegaard –Odegaard was injured for the Sunderland game, but he should be fit enough to start this week.

Gyokeres starts after Arsenal brace

LW – Gabriel Martinelli – Leandro Trossard picked up a knock against Sunderland, so Martinelli starts on the left wing.

RW – Noni Madueke – Madueke continues to start on the right whilst Bukayo Saka is out injured for the foreseeable future.

ST – Viktor Gyokeres – Gyokeres’ recent upturn in form should warrant him the start on Thursday over Gabriel Jesus.
