The latest instalment of our fly-on-the-wall series detailing another week at City is here!
And it’s an episode not to be missed after an enthralling and dramatic seven days for Pep Guardiola’s side following matches with Newcastle and Liverpool.
Inside City 518 begins with the team’s preparations at the City Football Academy for our Carabao Cup semi-final second leg clash with the Magpies.
Then it’s all eyes on the deciding last-four tie where we blew Eddie Howe’s side away thanks to first-half goals from Omar Marmoush (two) and Tijjani Reijnders.
Anthony Elanga pulled a goal back after the interval, but we prevailed 5-1 on aggregate to book our place at Wembley for the League Cup’s showpiece.
The week then reached fever pitch with the Blues’ trip to Anfield where we scored twice in the closing stages to seal a euphoric victory over Liverpool.
Arne Slot’s side were on their way to three points after Dominik Szoboszlai’s unstoppable 74th-minute free-kick broke the deadlock.
But Bernardo’s effort and an Erling Haaland penalty flipped the match on its head in stoppage time.
There was still time for further drama, though, when Rayan Cherki thought he had City’s third when rolling the ball in from the halfway line – instead - his effort was chased by Szoboszlai and Haaland, resulting in a red card for the Hungarian.
To see all that and more including Sverre Nypan’s return and Stefan Ortega Moreno’s farewell, watch Inside City 518 above!
