Divine Mukasa has been handed his full Leicester City debut as Andy King makes three changes to the side to take on Southampton.

Mukasa, a deadline-day loan recruit from Manchester City, made his first City appearance as a substitute at Birmingham but now comes into the starting 11, taking over the attacking midfield role vacated by the suspended Bobby De Cordova-Reid.

The other enforced change is also in midfield, with Joe Aribo ineligible to face his parent club.

Harry Winks comes in for his first start since November, taking over at the base of midfield with Oliver Skipp pushed forward into the number eight position.

The third and final change is in defence, where Jamaal Lascelles drops to the bench, with Caleb Okoli returning from his suspension and going straight back into the line-up.

Lascelles had an impressive debut at Birmingham, but it was his first start in 23 months and so he may be on the bench to not risk overworking him.

With only three changes made, it means captain Ricardo Pereira starts a rare midweek fixture, keeping his spot at right-back ahead of Bade Aluko.

Luke Thomas also stays in, ahead of Victor Kristiansen, while Asmir Begovic remains in goal. In attack, Patson Daka is again preferred to Jordan Ayew.

On the bench, there’s no place for Jeremy Monga, with Silko Thomas and Wanya Marcal both back in the squad.

City (4-3-3): Begovic; Ricardo, Okoli, Nelson, L Thomas; Winks, Skipp, Mukasa; Fatawu, Daka, Mavididi.

Subs: Stolarczyk, Lascelles, Aluko, Kristiansen, Page, Marcal, Richards, S Thomas, Ayew.
