Chelsea player ratings vs Leeds as 9/10 Blues star let down by Moises Caicedo

Chelsea’s excellent Premier League record since the hiring of the new manager continued as they beat Leeds 2-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Liam Rosenior has won all five of his games in charge in the competition so far, and the two best performers of his reign so far were on hand again tonight.

Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer scored and assisted each other, with the Brazilian winning another penalty for the Englishman to make no mistake with.

CONFIRMED XI to face Leeds!

Thoughts, Blues fans?

Things capitulated as far as the Blues are concerned though, as Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor made the most of catastrophic errors at the back.

Chelsea player ratings vs Leeds

Rosenior will be extremely disappointed with how things ended up, and The Chelsea Chronicle have dished out player ratings from the clash between old rivals at Stamford Bridge.

Robert Sanchez: 5/10

Super long ball opened up Leeds for Chelsea’s second goal. However, Robert Sanchez was part of the absolute mess which saw the opposition level things late.

Malo Gusto: 5/10

Picked up an early yellow card which set the tone for a tasty affair. Always offered an option in attack and didn’t face too many challenges after his booking.

Josh Acheampong: 4/10

Really struggled at the heart of Chelsea’s defence, and was very suspect for the second Leeds goal. Also booked early on.

Trevoh Chalobah: 6/10

Pretty strong defensive performance from Trevoh Chalobah. Every long ball from Karl Darlow was won in the air by the Chelsea man until the late chaos.

Marc Cucurella: 6/10

Continued to show the attacking side of his game is coming back. Was replaced at half-time with no injury concerns.

Moises Caicedo: 4/10

Clumsy tackle gave away the penalty which let Leeds back into the game. A rarity, but Moises Caicedo was outclassed by his midfield partner today.

Is Andrey Santos now quietly Chelsea’s best midfielder?👀

What a performance from the Brazilian!

Andrey Santos: 9/10

Player of the match as far as we are concerned. Rosenior has put faith in Andrey Santos and it is being repaid every week.

Never looked like giving the ball away, and played the quarterback role to perfection just two days after Superbowl Sunday.

Enzo Fernandez: 7/10

Enzo Fernandez impressed again in the left-sided attacking role, although frequently came inside as Chelsea dominated the central areas for large portions.

Cole Palmer: 8/10

Continued his goalscoring run with a first half penalty, but unfortunately missed an absolute sitter with just minutes to go.

Estevao Willian: 6/10

Estevao Willian struggled to get involved in proceedings early on, however always carried a threat when he did get himself on the ball.

Joao Pedro: 8/10

After being caught offside a number of times early on, Pedro timed his run to perfection to give Chelsea the lead and continue his excellent run under the new manager. Also won the penalty for Palmer to convert.

Jorrel Hato: 6/10

Settled in for a nice second half performance. A much-needed decent outing for Jorrel Hato.

Pedro Neto: 6/10

Some very dangerous crosses from the right-hand-side, but to no avail.
