The Golden State Warriors always are on the hunt for more stars to acquire, a process that will be expedited as Stephen Curry approaches the end of his career.
Joe Lacob's ownership of both the Warriors and the WNBA's Golden State Valkyries could see him pursue basketball power couple Bam Adebayo and A'ja Wilson in the coming months or years.

That is according to new information from ClutchPoints' Brett Siegel, who reports Adebayo's continued close ties to former Miami Heat teammate Jimmy Butler could be key in luring the three-time All-Star to Golden State. Lacob's shared ownership of both the Warriors and the Valkyries could see him chase after Wilson, a four-time WNBA MVP, in an effort to convince her to leave the dynasty she has built with the Las Vegas Aces and lead the Valkyries' ambitious project.
A’ja Wilson and Bam Adebayo going to Golden State is something to monitor, per @BrettSiegelNBA
The Golden State Valkyries plan to pursue A’ja Wilson in free agency, and the Golden State Warriors have interest in Bam Adebayo.

Adebayo has a player option for the 2028-29 season, which he could decline if he decides to test free agency or force a move west to the Warriors. But Wilson's situation is a little different. Like virtually all WNBA veterans, the Aces superstar will hit free agency whenever the league moratorium is lifted amid tense collective bargaining negotiations.
Even though the Valkyries won respect by reaching the playoffs as an expansion team in 2025, there is little to suggest that Wilson is unhappy in Las Vegas or wants a change of scenery, months after she led the franchise to their third WNBA championship.
Similarly, the Heat always have regarded Adebayo as a key player and have shown little inclination to move him.
It would take an unexpected twist to see Adebayo end up in San Francisco, no matter how much the Warriors reportedly admire him.
