Luis Diaz has enjoyed an impressive spell since leaving Liverpool for Bayern Munich last summer, excelling both on and off the pitch. The Colombian joined Liverpool from Porto for an initial £37million in January 2022, scoring 41 goals in 148 appearances.
He played a key role in last season’s Premier League title win, netting 13 times. He also lifted the FA Cup and two Carabao Cups, while featuring in the 2022 Champions League final during his time at Anfield.
Diaz has carried that form into the Bundesliga. He recently delivered a standout display against Hoffenheim, scoring a hat-trick and providing two assists in a 5–1 win over the weekend.
In total, the former FC Porto star has registered 18 goals and 14 assists in 30 appearances across all competitions during the 2025–26 campaign. Away from football, Díaz continues to build a parallel career in music.
After featuring on Ryan Castro’s track El ritmo que nos une in 2024 and releasing his debut single La Promesa at the end of 2025, he has now appeared in the music video for Silvestre Dangond’s latest release, Ganas de tenerla.
The video follows a young boy dreaming of football stardom, with Diaz and Dangond making cameo appearances on a pitch. Now 29, Diaz does not sing in the video but remains closely involved as his artistic journey continues alongside his success at Bayern.
“Many people know me for football, but today I want you to get to know another side of me,” the former Liverpool forward said at the time. “Music is one of my hobbies and a way for me to express myself from the heart, something I do with great affection and respect for the art.”
The music video for La Promesa is interlaced with clips of Díaz in action throughout his career with Barranquilla FC, Porto, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.
