Liam Rosenior spent a lot of time post-match in his press conference speaking about his frustration.
His team had been totally on top, and were 2-0 up and cruising through the second half. They then conceded two sloppy goals and messed it up.
But Rosenior was staying positive, and found nice things to say about Joao Pedro, who scored the opener and assisted Cole Palmer for the second by winning yet another penalty.

“He’s a top player, he always has been,” Rosenior said.
“I know how hard, speaking to the [sporting directors], the club, worked to bring him to the club because he’s had that potential and he’s now starting to show that.
“Some of the play, some of the movements and the patterns in the first half was everything I wanted to see in the team. And Joao suits the way I want to play down to the ground. And even at the end, his energy levels, to create the chances for himself in the second half that he did, he was really unfortunate with the header.
“He’s showing me an energy and intensity and a quality that is of a really, really high level.”
In other news…
Before this press conference, Rosenior had spoken to TNT Sport in a pretty similar fashion. There he lamented the lack of concentration in a short period which led to Leeds coming from what looked a pretty hopeless 2-0 to make it 2-2. It’s the first time we’ve really heard him get angry, such has been the success of the start of his Chelsea reign.
The mood of this interview would have been very different had Cole Palmer put away his chance in the 94th minute. A Moises Caicedo cross found him at the back post, and with Stamford Bridge leaping to its feet to celebrate a late winner for the ages… their star boy Palmer somehow blasted it over. A horrible moment you can see here, if you really want.
