Chelsea fans will says it’s time to start new player after latest shambles at the back

Chelsea fans will soon start calling for returning loan player Mamadou Sarr to start games after the latest shambles at the back.

The Blues managed to throw away a 2-0 lead at home to relegation battlers Leeds United last night in a game they were completely cruising at the break and into the second half.

After Joao Pedro opened the scoring, which was soon added to by a Cole Palmer penalty, Rosenior and Chelsea were in dreamland cruising the game. They played some superb football in that first half.

Pedro was fantastic leading the line again, and he earned some rightful praise from his manager after the game in his post-match interview.

But Leeds got back into the game and managed to get two goals themselves to end it with points shared, which was far from good enough for Chelsea.

Shambles at the back

First they gave away a silly penalty after Moises Caicedo had a daft moment in our own box. Then not long after that, somehow between a bunch of them, mainly Josh Acheampong and Robert Sanchez, they failed to make a simple clearance and allowed Leeds to pounce in and score their second goal of the game.

I mean, he was bought back for a reason, right? And that wasn’t to sit on the bench. If he is as good as they say he is, then it might be time to start him soon, after an obvious settling back in period I would assume.

Chelsea need more confidence, dominance, and less panic in the heart of the defence, and hopefully he can provide just that.
