Ethan Carroll, notably recognised for his performance in the Great Britain Lions U17 and U19 squads, has now relocated to a boarding school in Virginia to further his career and education.
Ethan, who began playing American football in 2023, quickly excelled in the sport, earning a place in the SGS Pride Academy in Bristol by September of the same year.
In December 2023, he was selected for the GB Lions U17 squad and played his first international game against Spain in November 2024.
His progress was such that he decided to move to the US for better opportunities in the sport.
Ethan received offers from selective high schools in several states, including Massachusetts, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Florida, but he chose Christchurch School in Virginia in October 2025.
The institution is ranked among the top 15 per cent of American preparatory schools.
Ethan began playing in the Virginia High School League almost immediately after settling in the US, making his debut within 48 hours of arriving.
On January 31, Ethan participated in a Prestigious Prep Redzone showcase event near Washington DC.
The event, catering to promising prospects nationwide, saw Ethan rated as a top performer, finishing in the top five overall.
Ethan is actively working with his NCSA recruiter to explore college placements for after his 2027 graduation.
He has set his sights on joining a top-tier US college that not only fosters strong academic prowess but also boasts a first-division American football program.
