Liam Rosenior
Leeds United have not had much joy on their travels this season. They are one of the worst teams when it comes to away form in the Premier League.
The Whites have enjoyed most of their success at Elland Road, where the home crowd and atmosphere has helped them get huge results this campaign. Daniel Farke’s men have only won away to Wolverhampton Wanderers this season, who are currently bottom of the Premier League table.

When Leeds met Chelsea at Elland Road, they surprised Enzo Maresca, recording a comfortable victory. But this time around the Blues had a new coach in charge in Liam Rosenior. The former Hull boss took charge a few weeks ago and had won seven of his first nine games.
Liam Rosenior unhappy with decision in Leeds United game
Going into the match, no one expected Leeds United to pull off an upset, but after a stunning second half comeback, they managed to get a point. After the game, Liam Rosenior was speaking to TNT Sports about the equalizer by Noah Okafor. Apparently, in the build up to the goal, the ball hit the hand of a Leeds player, and to the Chelsea boss, it should have been disallowed.
“At the time I did (think it was handball), I still haven’t seen it.
If there’s any contact with the hand in the build-up to the goal, it should be disallowed, but I haven’t seen it back to make that judgement.”
Rosenior was then told by the interviewer that VAR said it was a ‘non-deliberate handball’, and he said this next.
“The rule is the rule, from my understanding, if there’s any handball in a leadup to a goal, it should be disallowed, so if they’ve said that, someone explain the rules to me, because they need to help the referees, so you saying that has just got me angrier because that’s unacceptable if they’ve come with that judgement.”

Daniel Farke outmatched Chelsea boss in the second half
Liam Rosenior has a valid point about the goal, but ultimately his side were second best in the last half hour of the game. Once Daniel Farke decided to change the shape of the team and bring on Noah Okafor for Sebastiaan Bornauw, Leeds grew into the game. With the winger on the pitch, the team finally had another outlet alongside Lukas Nmecha. It made getting high up the pitch on the counter attack easier and that is what lead up to the equalizer. Leeds now have to build on this result with such a tough schedule.
