Fabrizio Romano: Arsenal“Involved” in £80m Transfer Battle With Spurs&Chelsea for Aston Villa Star

Fabrizio Romano has said that Arsenal could be involved in a three-way transfer battle for an Aston Villa star.

Arsenal didn’t make any moves in the January transfer window, which wasn’t a surprise, as Mikel Arteta’s squad is one of the best in the world, and they are in control in the Premier League title race.

However, they may have to make some major decisions in the summer, as both Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli will have less than one year on their contracts when the season begins. If one or both are set to leave the club, Arsenal will need to find a replacement for them on the left-wing.

The Gunners have been linked to the likes of Nico Williams and Rodrygo in the past, but it seems they could be looking at one of Aston Villa’s players instead.

Romano backs Arsenal to enter Morgan Rogers race

Transfers Journalist Fabrizio Romano has identified Morgan Rogers as a potential attacker signing for Arsenal in the summer, as the Aston Villa star has several potential suitors heading into the summer.

Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Morgan Rogers extended his contract with Aston Villa a few months ago, but on Morgan Rogers, there will be movement again.

“I’m sure Chelsea are still tracking Morgan Rogers as one of the most talented wingers in the game at the moment. Tottenham is a dream target, but at the moment, the player was not available last summer. We have to see also what happens, for example, at Arsenal and other clubs that can be involved in this possibility.

“The situation of Morgan Rogers will be one to watch in the summer. Aston Villa obviously will try to keep the player. But in case they get an important, important bid that could still be a possibility for Morgan Rogers to have the chance to try a different chapter in the summer transfer window.”

It is understood that Rogers will command a transfer fee of around £80m, which is a lot, but for a player who has scored eight goals, and provided five assists in the Premier League this season, it could certainly be worth it.
