'Impresses me more': Steve McManaman claims£13m Chelsea player is quietly better than Moises Caicedo

Moises Caicedo has silenced any doubters over his massive transfer fee this season at Chelsea.

After joining for Chelsea for £115m, Moises Caicedo would have had the weight of the world on his shoulders, but he’s handled the pressure brilliantly.

Caicedo is arguably enjoying his best season at Chelsea. As well as his defensive qualities, the Ecuadorian has already scored five goals across all competitions this season, which is more than he managed in his previous two campaigns combined.

And his performance against Leeds United wasn’t bad either.

But Steve McManaman believes there’s a Chelsea player even more impressive than him.

Anything you would change, Chelsea fans?🤔

Steve McManaman loves the look of Andrey Santos

Chelsea fans had high expectations for Andrey Santos when he returned from Strasbourg, but they won’t have expected him to be quite this good.

His performance against Leeds United was one of his best yet, which sparked a big claim from TNT Sports pundit Steve McManaman live on air.

“People tell you the plaudits of Caicedo, but Andrey Santos looks like he’s the one who wants to get on the ball more. And he’s the one who impresses me more out of the two when I watch them.”

Is Andrey Santos now quietly Chelsea’s best midfielder?👀

What a performance from the Brazilian!

Andrey Santos’ performance in numbers against Leeds United

Cole Palmer grabbed a goal and an assist, but Andrey Santos’ performance didn’t go unnoticed. He was absolutely everywhere on the pitch.

Santos played 79 minutes against Leeds, having 80 touches, completed 67 out of 69 passes, made seven passes into the final third, completed his only long ball, three tackles, one interception, one recovery and won all six of his ground duels (FotMob).

And we believe Santos should have been the Man of the Match against Leeds, despite Steve McManaman picking out Palmer.
