Having chosen to keep their money in the pocket in January, Arsenal decided that they did not need to strengthen their squad further as they look to win silverware on several fronts.

However, two players they were linked with they could well go back for in the summer.

One is Blackburn Rovers young striker Igor Tyjon. They had several bids for him turned down by the Championship club, but are determined to try again at the end of the season, wit Backburn set to receive a training compensation fee.

Tyjon would initially become part of the club’s youth team set-up, with the aim to gradually integrate him into the first-team.

The other is highly-rated Lille midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, who is also of interest to both Chelsea and PSG. Already an established League 1 player, Bouaddi is regarded as somebody ready to step straight into the Arsenal midfield, alongside Martin Zubímendi and Declan Rice.
