Chelsea
Many Chelsea fans and pundits could not understand what happened against Leeds United on Tuesday night. After what happened at their home over a week ago, the Blues were full of confidence ahead of meeting the Whites.
They were 2-0 down to West Ham at Stamford Bridge in their last home game, but came back to win the game 3-2. Liam Rosenior has had a good run in charge since taking over; winning seven of his nine games at the club. On Tuesday night, he came up against Daniel Farke, who managed to get a win over Enzo Maresca, who was in charge of the Blues during their visit to Elland Road.

After going 2-0 up in the 58th minute, Leeds boss Daniel Farke decided to make a change. He brought on Noah Okafor for a defender, changing the team shape. This substitution completely turned the game around. And within 20 minutes of the change, the Whites had pulled one back and equalized – with Okafor being the one on the end of the second goal.
Joe Cole says Chelsea star will be haunted by late miss
After the game, fans and pundits alike were not happy with the result. Liam Rosenior complained that the referees got a huge decision wrong on the equalizer, while Jason Cundy was furious with the result and called out the Chelsea players. But everything could have been different; in the 94th minute in stoppage time, Cole Palmer had a chance to win the game, but managed to put the ball miles over the bar after a great cross from Moises Caicedo.
Joe Cole spoke on the miss, saying it is a moment Palmer will be haunted by for a long time:
“Cole Palmer will go through his career and never do that again. He had so many brilliant moments and like Macca said in commentary, it has bounced up and it is coming in at pace.
“Some of the greatest players in the world have missed chances like that, and Cole Palmer is certainly a brilliant player. Cole can’t believe it himself.
“When that happens you are deflated. I am not going to dig him out because I thought he was excellent tonight.
“I missed one for 25 years years ago and that still haunts me. Cole will be haunted by that forever probably, he will never forget that miss.”

Job is not done for Leeds United
Leeds United may have jumped above Spurs with 30 points, but the season is far from over. The relegation battle will be a long and competitive one with the teams between 14th and 18th place separated by just seven points. It was very important for Daniel Farke’s men to get valuable points from their last two games. Up next for the Whites is games against Aston Villa, Manchester City and Sunderland.
