Report: Former Chelsea manager puts name forward to replace Thomas Frank at Tottenham

Chelsea fans are warming to Liam Rosenior after his appointment, and there’s another managerial change on the cards at Tottenham after Thomas Frank’s sacking.

The Blues have already played Tottenham once this season, which ended in a 1-0 win and the two sides won’t meet again until May at Stamford Bridge.

Enzo Maresca only left Chelsea at the start of January, a decision that was very unpopular at the time, but there’s been a change of heart since seeing Liam Rosenior and his plans.

It’s safe to say that the new manager bounce is very much still a thing. Chelsea have won seven out of 10 games under Rosenior, and you wouldn’t even say they’ve played that well yet.

Tottenham will be looking for a similar trend, and it could involve a former Chelsea boss.

Time for Mamadou Sarr to be given a try, or why else did we bring him back?

Something needs to change defensively!

Mauricio Pochettino is keen on taking the Tottenham job

According to TalkSPORT, Mauricio Pochettino is ‘keen’ on taking the Tottenham job, but only after the World Cup has been completed.

And Roberto De Zerbi would be open to the Spurs job having left Marseille on Tuesday night.

Everyone knows about Pochettino’s underlying love for Tottenham, so it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see him go back, but the timing will be a big issue with relegation a risk.

What is he talking about? 🤦‍♂️

Mauricio Pochettino’s time at Chelsea

Mauricio Pochettino’s single season at Chelsea in 2023/24 was a turbulent period of transition that saw the club recover from a 12th-place finish to secure a 6th-place spot and European qualification.

While he successfully transformed Cole Palmer into a world-class talent and ended the campaign with five consecutive victories, his relationship with the club’s hierarchy remained strained due to disagreements over the head coach model and the implementation of a specialised set-piece department.

And despite reaching the Carabao Cup final and showing significant progress in the final months, Pochettino left by mutual consent in May 2024, as BlueCo sought a more data-driven approach that aligned with their long-term vision.
