When the Cleveland Browns signed undrafted wide receiver Isaiah Bond just before the 2025 Preseason ended, it seemed all too predictable. Bond was a highly regarded prospect with loads of talent, but went undrafted because of a sexual assault accusation. He didn't end up being charged, and once that news broke, the Browns immediately handed him a fully guaranteed contract. Despite his lack of a training camp, Bond was thrown into the gameplan right away, and maintained that role throughout his rookie season, dealing with lots of growing pains but also displaying talent not found elsewhere in the WR room.
Bond spent time at both Alabama and Texas, and while he always possessed premier talent, he was never able to realize it. With the Longhorns in 2024, he turned 34 catches into 540 yards and five touchdowns, primarily being used as a decoy or gadget player. That showed up with the Browns early on, as his route running was extremely raw. That's an area where he did show development throughout the season, which he played as a 21-year-old.
