Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady held nothing back as he savaged social media star Logan Paul to his face during a podcast appearance.
The seven-time Super Bowl winner sat down with the influencer-turned-WWE Superstar on his Impaulsive podcast to promote a flag football tournament in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next month, in which they will both compete.
For those who are unfamiliar, flag football is a non-contact version of American football. It embraces many of the same principles as traditional American football. However, instead of tackling players to stop a play, defenders are required to pull a flag attached to the ball-carrier’s waist to end a play.
Initially, both men were doing all they could to hype the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, which will take place at Riyadh's Kingdom Arena on the 21st of March. When Brady became aware that Logan was actually competing, though, the intensity of the conversation went up several notches.
Logan Paul
"You know what? I actually am a little worried for you," admitted Brady after Paul confirmed his participation.
"Worried for me?" Logan replied, to which Brady replied: "Well… You’re a good athlete but you’re like… No, no no. These guys are another level."
"I am the highest level," countered Logan. "Can any of these guys do a moonsault?, he asked, referring to his WWE background.
Until this point, Brady had tried to keep things respectful, but Paul comparing WWE to the NFL prompted the most-successful player in Super Bowl history to shut Logan down in ruthless fashion.
"It’s cute. It’s great, you know I love WWE. It is very cute," he said with a smile. But honestly, this is like real football. This is just real competition."
Since debuting in WWE at WrestleMania 38, Logan has impressed many with how quickly he adapted to the world of professional wrestling. The 30-year-old continues to improve, having recently committed to WWE on a full-time basis.
The Ohio-born Superstar is clearly a capable athlete. Prior to stepping into the squared circle, he boxed the likes of Floyd Mayweather and KSI in lucrative exhibition bouts. He also participated in multiple sports in high school.
Proud of his athletic accomplishments, Logan continued to try and argue his point, quoting his stats in his final season as a high school linebacker, but Brady wasn't having any of it.
"Look, we all had a great past. I won seven Super Bowls. Nobody gives a s***. You know what matters? This [flag football] game on March 21st in Saudi. I'm glad you're gonna be there and I'm glad you're finally gonna participate in a competition that matters!"
Brady, who confirmed his retirement from the NFL in February 2023, will step back on to the field for the event. The 48-year-old is the headline attraction at the tournament, alongside Paul and a host of NFL stars who are advertised to appear, including Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, Tyreek Hill and CeeDee Lamb.
