1. Myles Garrett Is the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Year
Garrett plays defensive end for the Cleveland Browns and was recently named the NFL’sDefensive Player of the Year after breaking the single-season sack record during the 2025 season with 23 sacks. The 6-foot-4 star has built a reputation as one of the league’s most dominant pass rushers.
Despite the spotlight on Kim in Italy, Garrett made it clear he planned to show up for her biggest competition. While attending Super Bowl 60, he toldPeople Magazine, “I finish up here Sunday, get back for about 12 hours, and then I hit the road and go to see her.”
2. Chloe Kim & Myles Garrett Confirmed Their Relationship in 2025
Kim and Garrett werefirst linkedpublicly in May 2025 when they attended the Crunchyroll Anime Awards together in Japan. They confirmed their relationship later that year when Kim attended a Cleveland Browns road game against the Las Vegas Raiders in November 2025.
Garrett described their dynamic as supportive and consistent. “We’re both just so supportive of one another,” he said. “She’s always texting, she’s always calling to see how I’m doing during the yearand I’m doing the same right now, checking on her, seeing how she’s feeling, emotionally and physically.”

In a December interview withUSA TODAY Sports, Kim admitted she didn’t know much about Garrett before they started dating.
“I grew up in a very Korean household, so we didn’t really watch American sports,” Kim explained. “I had no idea who he was. Like, zero idea.”
She added, “I actually don’t know many athletes.Like I know Tom Brady and LeBron James. That’s my extent. But now I’m all about it. Myles is such an incredible athlete. I’m constantly inspired and in awe of him and how hard he works and how incredibly kind he is.”
4. Myles Garrett Traveled to Italy to Support Kim’s Olympic Three-Peat Bid
Kim is attempting to become the first snowboarder to win three straight Olympic gold medals in women’s halfpipe after victories in 2018 and 2022. Despite recovering from a shoulder injury just weeks before the Games, she qualified first for the final in Livigno.
Garrett was on-site, hiking up the side of the halfpipe with camera gear to capture her run. “I got her whole run,” he said, viaESPN. “She’s amazing.”
After qualifying first, Kim joked with Garrett about athletic supremacy. “Me,” she said when asked who was better. “You’re better than me?” Garrett responded.
5. Kim Is Focused on History — and Garrett Is Her Loudest Supporter
Kim delivered a dominant qualifying run that included a 1080-degree spin while riding backward and a massive leap more than 13 feet above the halfpipe’s edge.
“I’ve been doing this for 22 years,” Kim said. “Muscle memory is a thing.”
Now 25, Kim is looking to complete a historic Olympic three-peat.
