The Las Vegas Raiders finished with a 3-14 record last season, and they also have the number one pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Las Vegas had Pete Carroll as head coach for only one season, and they decided to make a change. The Raiders were very patient during the head coaching search. They decided to hire Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak as the next head coach of the franchise.

Kubiak helped Seattle win its second Super Bowl title in franchise history. He helped quarterback Sam Darnold become a better player. Kubiak will be tasked with most likely working with Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza when the time comes. The Raiders could potentially be in good hands with him in the long run. Kubiak was introduced as Las Vegas’s head coach on Tuesday in a press conference.

Las Vegas will also have a ton of cap space to work with. They need to find a way to fix the offensive line this offseason. Running back Ashton Jeanty, tight end Brock Bowers, and defensive end Maxx Crosby are some of the other building blocks to work with on this roster. One of the questions will be, does Crosby want to be here next season?
If not, the Raiders may need to trade him before the NFL Draft. Las Vegas made the right hire with Kubiak. They may want results right away, but there will be some growing pains. This is a very good hire for them however in the long run.
