The Giants kept general manager Joe Schoen around for now. Harbaugh made another move with his coaching staff. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported on Twitter on Wednesday, “The#Giants are hiring former#Titans head coach Brian Callahan as their new QBs coach and passing game coordinator, per me and

@MikeGarafolo. John Harbaugh continued to round out his staff, adding QB expertise and head coach experience.”

Brian Callahan was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans for a year and a half before getting fired. He also once was the offensive coordinator for the Cincinnati Bengals and worked with quarterback Joe Burrow. Now, he will get to work with Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Brian Callahan was hired to be the sixth head coach of the Tennessee Titans on Jan. 22, 2024. Previous to joining the Titans, Callahan was offensive coordinator of the Cincinnati Bengals, most notably during the 2021 season in which the team advanced to Super Bowl LVI.

There are a lot of Giants fans who love the fact that the team hired Callahan onto the staff on the offensive side of the football. They have Matt Nagy and Greg Roman on the staff already. This is what New York fans had to say about the recent hire on Twitter:

I love this!!!! Harbaugh is crushing the hiring of his staff this year. He’s putting a lot of experience on the offensive side of the ball.

Callahan pass game and Greg Roman run game is potentially a really nice combo for the giants

Quietly a big addition. Callahan has worked with high-level quarterbacks before.

I know the Giants maybe didn’t get there top choice for OC due to him getting a HC job. But this staff is really really good.

Great hire for the Giants! Callahan’s experience will boost that passing attack.

Roman, Callahan, and Nagy have all been offensive coordinators in the past. Are there too many cooks in the kitchen for the Giants offensive coaching staff? Well, Harbaugh is hiring experienced coaches who know what they are doing. It will be interesting to see how the offense will look with them coaching it next season. They have other moves to make with the defensive coaching staff and also player personnel.
